Garden Rooms have become a more important part of life as more people have embraced balancing work from home with family life. This garden room offers an alternative use as the client’s ‘garden palace’, offering a quiet retreat from the house. Externally, natural cedar has been taken up and over the roof with a corner aluminium bi-fold door that creates a dramatic cantilever and connects the internal space to the external patio. For the interior, birch plywood panels form the finish with exposed rafters to allow a sense of height.
