A spectacular new build house in the prestigious West Common area of Harpenden in Hertfordshire. The new build house replaced a smaller dwelling with a spacious five bedroom property with a large double garage. The layout includes an open plan kitchen and dining area and separate formal lounge and family room.
The design incorporates the high quality use of brickwork including a brick plinth detail, brick headers and brick dentil courses. A herringbone brickwork panel creates a dramatic feature to the rear bay window. Reconstituted stone has been used the create a large arch to the front entrance door and to the eaves corbels.
Sargeant Architects worked closely with the developer, Frithsden Construction on the technical design and construction stages of the project based on a design and planning approval, secured by Clague Architects.
